Coming from a particularly stoney spot at the top of the hill, Fuego is a parcel selection of Cerro del Toro’s most coastal vineyard – just a couple kilometres from the sea. Perfumed and balsamic, with lifted violet notes, red fruit and a lovely depth of flavour. The palate is powerful yet charming, with taut tannins, a calcareous bitterness and plenty of bite. Long, savoury and delicious. A Pinot for food.
