Natural Cork

A right-bank-inspired blend built of long-term cellaring, comprised of 59% Cabernet Franc, 33% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% of Petit Verdot, aged 22 months in 75% new French oak. Crafted by the late Denis Malbec, who worked as the enologist and cellar master for Château Latour. Lucid ruby with some red brickening. What is immediately evident is how polished this medium to full-bodied wine is on the palate. At first, the aromas of red berry fruits, dusty minerals, and fragrant cedarwood are reticent. Still, then, all meld together in a dynamic way framed by silky-soft but very present tannins. Nuances of dark earthy humus, sandalwood, tobacco, and dusty red and black currants layer in complexity. In the perfect drinking window now (as of August 2024), and has plenty of life ahead of it. Historically, the first vintage ever produced was the 2005 release.
