Legacy's Edge is a wine sourced from a few fabulously rocking wineries who get fruit from the Oak Knoll District, and while the winemaker disclosed them to me, I cannot in turn tell you their names. But I can tell you this: For Merlot lovers, this is a great bottle, hitting all the Merlot hallmarks of soft, plush tannins, juicy, spiced plum and red cherry fruits, and perhaps a bit of crunchy pomegranate seed tannin that imparts a woodsy, earthy element to the palate. Just a touch of grip emerges before waves of blood orange and unsweetened cocoa powder ride on to a delectable finish.
