570 cases of this blend (Sauvignon Blanc 53%, Sauvignon Musque 26%, Semillon 21%) were made, sourced 77% from Napa Carneros (with the Semillon coming from the Hyde Vineyard) and 23% from Sonoma Mountain, barrel fermented and aged 9 months in 32% new French oak, 49% second-use French oak, and 19% stainless steel. Bright and crisp, there is a mouthwatering quality to the citrus and kaffir lime character and beeswax notes. There's a touch of toasty oak spices, with a broader and more generous mid-palate than you'd expect, but it is all braced by bright acidity. White flowers and crushed almonds show on the finish. It's uniquely captivating on the aromatics for a white from California with these varieties. This wine stands out as something unique.
