The 2023 Arrow&Branch Black is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from sites across Napa Valley. Extended maceration lasted 21–28 days, with fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 22 months of ageing in 65–85% new French oak. Blending took place closer to bottling. The wine opens with beautifully high-toned red, black, and blue fruit, lifted by white pepper and sagebrush, with a delicate kiss of fine cedarwood. An ironstone-like minerality runs through the core, giving the wine both intensity and precision. Exceptionally long, polished, and refined, it reveals layers of floral perfume through the persistent and pretty finish.
