The second-ever release of AXR’s single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Hudson Vineyard in the Los Carneros AVA of Napa Valley, this wine is 100% puncheon-fermented and aged for 12 months in 25% new French oak. Positively bright in 2024, it shows vivid ripe citrus and orchard fruit, leaning into stone fruit notes, white flowers, and a gentle kiss of honeycomb. The palate is beautifully pure and precise, with a subtle, almost velvety texture framed by a steely core of expressive mineral tension. Saline intensity builds through the finish, which is long, focused, and delicious.
