The Mills Vineyard was planted in 1984 by Josh Jensen on the steep limestone slopes of Mt Harlan. While the Calera house style goes for ripeness, this bottling offers a gorgeous procession of rose petal florals, forest floor and smoky clove on the aromas.  The palate delivers the same elegance; there's a sleekness to the tannin, which frames wonderfully the lush ripe berries with an edgy mineral component. Smoked sea salt holds up the wild mountain berries and spiced black plums—exotic Moroccan spices and hints of smoky clove finish this Pinot Noir wonderfully.
