From the winery's Sotero's Vineyard in Calistoga Ranch, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 27 months in 80% new French oak. Showing the depth and concentration of the 2018 vintage, very compact and shy at the cork's pull, and with air, it begins to reveal its dark-toned berry fruit, brown baking spices, dried sage and mint, and fragrant minerality. Medium to full-bodied with good tension and very fine, pixelated tannins laced with mocha character and finishing with green tobacco and charcuterie. This is a very complete and well-crafted wine. Enjoy it now and easily for the next decade.
