The Thallo is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, primarily sourced from younger vines on the valley floor in front of the winery. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 12 months in roughly 40% new French oak, this is a lovely, approachable wine. While it retains the compact structure typical of these wines, its red-toned fruit profile is inviting. Though firm and present, the tannins are tightly knit, allowing perfumed notes of rose petals and violets to weave through from nose to finish. The finish lingers with sweet spice and loamy earth, adding depth and elegance.
