Elegance and sauvage all at once, this Syrah comes from a suitcase clone carried from the Côte Rotie by winemaker Bibiana Gonzalez and planted in the renowned Pisoni Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Intense minerality leaps from the glass, crushed stone and briny sea salt alongside refined violet florals. The lithe dark fruits mingle with savoury herbals, salty and fresh with wild berries. Ferrous notes and gamy complexity meld beautifully together. Intensely complex and undeniably refined. It’s a beautiful Syrah, a variety that seems to hold the key to the Santa Lucia Highlands' future. This bottling is only available in magnum.
