This final vintage of the Cep Rosé is going out on a high note, and it’s truly a shame to see it go. The Peays have let go of their Pinot contract from Hopkins Ranch in the Russian River Valley, bringing this wine’s story to a close. It’s a rosé that manages to be both light on its feet and quietly structured. Fermented entirely in stainless steel, it bursts with aromas of freshly picked strawberries, watermelon rind, and a whisper of umami, all wrapped in a refreshing saline snap. The finish is long, spicy, and gently aromatic - think pink peppercorn and a breeze off the sea. It’s a wine that screams hot summer days.
