The core of this wine is crafted from co-fermented lots of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from the estate Rhythm Vineyard in the Stags Leap District, complemented by Cabernet Franc from the Madrona Ranch in St. Helena, farmed by David Abreu. The blend also includes 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, aged 21 months in 71% new French oak. This is a crowd-pleasing, delicious red wine that delights from the pull of the cork. Soft, supple tannins build on its medium-to-full-bodied richness, carrying notes of cassis and loamy earth layered with vanilla-tinged tobacco spices and a hint of vanilla-laced Earl Grey tea. The Cabernet Franc character shines through on the bright, mineral-rich, herb-kissed finish, adding vibrancy and complexity to this approachable yet elegant wine.
