With each new vintage of Monticue Vineyard comes a more complete wine, and the fortunate ease of the 2018 vintage has taken this site to a new level. Aromas of dried pine needles, beets and nutmeg. The texture is plush and supple but with electric structure, and a soft-around-the-edges salinity wraps up the finish. A noticeably more high-toned, integrated wine in its youth than in past vintages.
