Tychson Hill is fermented in stainless steel and aged for approximately 20 months in 60% new French oak. This east-facing site sits at the base of Spring Mountain, across from Freemark Abbey, and in 2023, it is gorgeously fragrant, offering tobacco spice, blackcurrant, black cherry, and blackberry fruit layered with rich, loamy earth notes. On the palate, it is super-polished and expressive, shaped by wonderfully marbled tannins that possess a smooth, chiselled quality – glossy yet precise. Cocoa powder nuances build steadily alongside vibrant violet florals and hints of sagebrush, carrying through to a lengthy, mineral-driven finish.
