(Barrel Sample) The 2024 Solomon Blanc, again sourced from the Moaveni Vineyard on Sonoma Mountain along Bennett Valley Road, sees native fermentation in 75% Italian clay amphorae and the balance in neutral French oak. Just 150 cases were made by winemaker Jeff Morgan. Compared to the previous vintage, the 2024 shows greater fruit concentration and heightened acid tension—like a racehorse pawing at the gate. Crunchy orchard fruit, hints of Meyer lemon, and underripe pineapple, matching the 2023 release in its fruit complexity but with added depth of fruit generosity and precision focus. Savoury notes of lemon verbena mingle with salty notes of sea spray. Medium-bodied, the palate has great tension and energy, balancing ripe fruit with a fine-boned mineral structure and a long, racy finish. A thrilling vintage that pushes Solomon Blanc into even more exciting territory.
