Crocker & Starr began in 1997 as a partnership between vintner Charlie Crocker and winemaker Pam Starr, centred on Crocker’s historic St Helena estate. Starr continues to direct both vineyard and cellar decisions, with Julie Robertson helming the cellar since 2022. The 2023 Cabernet Franc Blend combines 52% Cabernet Franc with 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Malbec. It was matured for 18 months in French oak. Jonathan Cristaldi: Bold, dark-fruited style with elegant cedar notes, crushed cocoa nibs, tobacco and loamy earth. A wonderfully lush, savoury richness with a long, velvety and satisfying finish. Jenica Flippo: Concentrated black cherry, dark chocolate and tobacco with savoury spice. The palate exudes earthy tones that give depth to a serious wine. Cara Patricia: Char siu pork marinade, sweet and tangy fruit, like raspberry, cherry and Chinese five spice. Long, silky finish.
