Sourced from Corda Vineyard and Stubbs Vineyard in the Marin County appellation within the Petaluma Gap AVA, this wine comes from benchland sites protected from wind but heavily influenced by intense fog. It shows loamy earth and white truffle notes layered with tart cherry fruit, framed by muscular, firm tannins that are now resolving nicely. The finish is long, earthy, and assured. The grapes from these vineyards were hand-harvested and fermented in a combination of small open-top fermenters, then aged in 100% French oak barrels, 20% new, for 16 months.
