Denali's first Pinot Noir, sourced from Sonoma Stage Vineyard in the Petaluma Gap, is planted to 50% Calera and 50% Swan clone and aged in 30% new French oak for 10 months. It offers a lavish nose of cherry, crushed rocks, espresso, tarweed, and black tea with hints of underbrush. Focused and lean, it presents a purity of dark cherry and fruit with a touch of tangerine peel, finishing with smoky grapefruit over a core of firm, taut tannins and ironstone minerality on the long finish.
