This 100% Syrah is a blend of several single-vineyard sources, including Kobler in the Russian River Valley, Betsy and Donelan Obsidian Estate in Knights Valley, and Cardiac Hill and Judge Family Vineyard in Bennett Valley. Naturally fermented with 48% whole cluster and aged for 21 months in 39% new French oak. An elegant expression of this blend, harbouring plenty of power and intensity while serving as a great introduction to Donelan’s lineup of Syrahs. Dark berry fruit is nuanced by dusty minerals, coriander, and a hint of cumin. Medium-bodied, with crunchy red berry fruit, blood orange acidity, grapefruit zest, and fragrant cedarwood on the lengthy finish. It's a very complete wine.
