The Donelans have sourced Kobler Family Vineyard Viognier since 2001. Aged entirely in neutral barrels, this is one serious laser-focused, lean, and expressive Viognier with pure aromas of mineral-scented stone fruits, Keffir lime, and jasmine florals. Wonderfully pure citrus fruits, white peach, chalky sea-shell minerals, long, beautiful nutty nuances, and a salty sea spray finish. Dazzling. Winemaker David Milner talks of eliminating any overly golden-skinned fruit in the vineyard to avoid overripe golden raisin or waxy fruit you can get from the Viognier. In 2020, they installed cross arms to balance the sun exposure.
