Mendocino County

Medium

Cork

As always, this wine comes from Perli Vineyards in the Mendocino Ridge AVA, and undergoes native fermentation, aged for up to 17 months in 33% new French oak. The wine is entirely Clone 777, which on this site forms compact clusters and delivers a darker-fruited profile. In 2020, it's a bit brighter and lighter, with hallmark notes of cherry and a bit of raspberry fruit here, with these wonderful deep forest, conifer, or redwood spices along with subtle cocoa powder and orange peel notes that seem to come on the finish of this wine no matter the vintage. Always a delicious wine and one to end the night on.
