Bold and deeply coloured in the glass, the Heritage Vines Zinfandel was aged for 17 months in a blend of American, European, and French oak, with 25% of the oak being new. The nose is rich and almost confectionery, with aromas of chocolate-covered cherries and crystallised fruit. The palate is round and slightly creamy, showing ripe berry flavours alongside a sour note reminiscent of plum skin. Tannins unfold with a cocoa-powder grip, finishing with a touch of warm spice.
