A GSM with 65% Mourvèdre from this winery in the El Dorado AVA that is well known for its on-premise bakery. Edio's winemaker Peter Delfino is clearly one of the region's burgeoning talents, having returned home to the family business after making wine abroad. The wine offers up a bright red hue with loads of great aromas. Notes of pine bough, dusty cherry, thyme, clove and all-spice. The palate is fresh and bright, with notes of Bing cherry, mocha, garrigue and a baking chocolate-tinged finish. Very nicely done.
