The Cusp' comes from Trenton Vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley near Kistler. This Pinot Noir is crafted from a mix of clones, including Mt. Eden, Swan, Dijon, and Pommard, with a stylistic focus on a riper, richer expression. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in 35% new French oak. It showcases bright candied red cherry aromas intertwined with espresso bean, fruit leather, and subtle vanilla bean notes. Medium-bodied on the palate, it reveals graphite minerality and smoky clove nuances, with emerging blue fruit on the finish and hints of pressed violets. All these layers are beautifully supported by fine, velvet-textured tannins, resulting in a highly pleasing and satisfying wine.
