This is sourced from around Castle Rock, a ghost winery on Mount Veeder, and blended with some Cabernet Franc and Chiles Valley fruit. It was aged for 20 months in neutral French oak. I love the blue-fruited purity of this young wine, which will no doubt evolve into darker tones with time, but for now it’s wonderfully bright and energetic. Impressively firm acidity supports the lush, crunchy red fruit, nuanced by vivid garrigue notes and finishing with perfumed red florals. A vibrant, captivating wine with real verve and charm.
