Grilled meat, rosemary and thyme aromas then firm, polished, savoury and intense flavours. Tannins are tightly woven, acidity is firm and there is a real stoniness to this wine. Showing brooding charm, it needs time to unwind and uncoil but there’s no doubting its compact complexity of flavours that encompass both red stone fruit as well as meat, black olive and pepper. The finish is long and entirely savoury.
