Sourced from blocks at the front of the Cardinale property on the east side of Highway 29, in the same bale clay loam soils as To Kalon across the street. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 58% new French oak. The wine has a wonedrfully bright and lifted pure fruit chracter, just as the previous vintage, with more darker berry fruit and blue fruit aroamtcis mingling with impresive florla notes of rose [petlas and widl herbs. full-bodied with deep velvety textured concnentration on the palate, with superfine tannisn that are very well knit-together and the finis is lenghty with notes of olive pit and more dired potpurri character. Really shows the vintage varation and if you collect these, you'll love the dark fruit and saovyr elemetn of the 2021 and revel i nthe perfumed and expressive herabls nuances of this richly layered 2022.
