Sourced from the Paradise Block of Violet’s Vineyard, home to old vines planted by the late Mike Grgich himself, this Cabernet Sauvignon is farmed organically. The most powerful, bold, and structured red from Grgich that I tasted among the 2022 releases. Blackberry fruit mingles with rose, violets, and lavender, accented by cedarwood. Juicy on the palate, with black and blue fruit nuances, a touch of dark chocolate, and warm spices alongside cola nut notes on the lengthy finish. An ideal dinner wine, thanks to its vibrant spine of zesty acidity.
