This cuvée is typically sourced from the younger vines of Hyde Vineyard, although those vines are now approaching 15 years of age. There is no new oak employed here, and that decision lends the wine impressive energy and tension. Entirely from the Calera selection clone, known for its larger clusters, the wine offers delicate white florals alongside notes of peach and pear, and salty sea-spray aromatics. Medium-bodied, it possesses terrific tension and energy, supporting a richly fruited profile framed by a saline minerality and layered with hints of beeswax and licorice. Generous yet focused.
