Aged on fine lees in large oak casks and barrels for 15 months, including 30% new French oak, with bâtonnage and a further three months of bottle ageing prior to release. The fruit is sourced from Ink Grade Vineyard on the lower east-facing slopes of Howell Mountain, farmed under CCOF-certified biodynamic practices. The wine offers substantial fruit density, combining crisp orchard fruit with a sea-spray freshness. Bright citrusy and grassy character is complemented by textural richness from barrel ageing. Great length from the mid-palate to the finish. Overall, a wine marked by its textural grip and tension.
