This is the most expressive of the Hertelendy wines I tasted from the 2023 releases – a bold, full-throttle red for those seeking a Napa Cabernet that truly delivers the goods. It’s fuelled by layers of red and black satiny fruit, rich toasty oak spices, and nuances of unsmoked tobacco, with perhaps a hint of molasses too. Everything comes together beautifully on the palate, framed by supple, silky fruit expression, velvety tannins, and a sweetly spiced espresso-bean finish. A definite crowd-pleaser.
