Sourced from the Bien Nacido Vineyard's Roussanne block that Qupé planted in 1997 from Château de Beaucastel cuttings, the 2017 Holus Bolus Roussanne is a benchmark white for Santa Barbara County. <br><br>The nose is floral and waxy, with aromas of nectarine, white flowers and dried chamomile. The palate is clean and fresh, with notes of Meyer lemons, apricots and green tea. The texture is svelte and focussed, avoiding the often thick and resinous quality I find with much Roussanne. This is a modern classic with a long life ahead of it.
