A blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Petit Verdot, this is a barrel selection from the best blocks at Blueline Estate, with See Clone Cabernet Sauvignon co-fermented with Petit Verdot and aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. The wine shows wonderful polish and suaveness, perhaps a result of the co-fermentation, perhaps the natural outcome of selecting only the estate’s top fruit. It offers a clear snapshot of the vintage, combining generosity and juiciness with freshness and a distinctly mineral edge. Ultra-fine tannins, tinged with cocoa powder are nicely integrated and build gently through the full-bodied finish. Blueline Vineyard soils are a mix of volcanic ash and Cortina series cobblestones and gravel. Winemaker Adrien Halpin has been crafting the wine since 2019, with Tony Biagi continuing to consult after becoming a partner that same year.
