A family venture between Hyde Vineyards of Napa, and Aubert and Pamela de Villaine of Burgundy. Aromatically this sits between Syrah and Shiraz. Liquorice, blueberry, blackcurrant pastille, blackcurrant leaf, gently earthy. Great finesse and energy on the palate, very well balanced, long and well made. Exceptionally smooth, palate-caressing texture. Great sense of impact, purity, drive and concentration, but not heavy.
