Only 188ha of this variety are left in Piedmont and a few rows in California, thanks to the folks at Idewild. Brilliant aromatics, wild meadow vegetation, and high mountain herbs, with a note of ripe stone fruits that follow. The palate is lush and evocative of the sauvage nature of skin-contact wines from northern Italy.  Lemon balm, dried ginger root and sappy Meyer lemon pulp deliver a tangy, fresh palate with a fresh herbal finish—a wonderfully unique wine.
