Sonoma County

Cork

This is clone 470 Syrah, a powerhouse clone with smaller berries and short clusters, planted on very rocky soils and under significant stress. It produces a wine that is intensely perfumed with great mineral character, tangy with blood orange notes and blue fruit on the finish. Infused with so much perfumed violet and black truffle character, with a long, mineral-scented finish. Underneath all that is the crushed stone, iron-mineral character that is rampant throughout and yet so balanced.
