Bill and Olga Keever established Keever Vineyards in 1999 on a steep, rocky hillside property southwest of Yountville, later bringing their children into the family business. Celia Welch has made the estate’s wines since its early vintages. Inspirado 2023 combines 84% Cabernet Sauvignon with equal 8% portions of Malbec and Merlot. The wine was matured for 20 months in French oak barrels. Jonathan Cristaldi: Lovely dark-fruit purity, walnut liqueur, hints of sagebrush and smoked paprika. Silken, berry fruit and Indian spices that linger through a fresh, mineral finish. Jenica Flippo: Penetrating and aromatic, brimming with pure black fruits. Satiny palate, a touch of cigar box and both sweet and savoury spices. Cara Patricia: A lovely wine that has great balance and exudes opulence.
