The 2021 Inspirado Red Wine is a combination of purchased and estate fruit, aged for 19 months in 100% new French oak. The blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot. Super-bold and highly perfumed, it delivers generous black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, layered with dried violet notes, graphite, dark loamy earth, and hints of walnut husk and sage. Full-bodied, the wine is shaped by beautifully polished, plump tannins and a core of juicy, bright acidity, lifted by a subtle saline edge and carried through to a long, mineral-driven finish. Suave and thoroughly enjoyable now, yet clearly built with the structure to age gracefully for a good long time in the cellar.
