The Kinsman Eades Aberro Chenin Blanc is fermented and aged in 600-litre neutral puncheons, with lees stirring that creates a wonderful richness. The wine itself opens with a delicate, woolly character layered with fresh spearmint and vibrant citrus oil. It carries a gorgeous plushness balanced by phenolic grip, limestone minerality, and Marcona almond nuances. It also displays fantastic tension and depth of flavour, unfolding with ripe orchard and stone fruit while maintaining remarkable freshness and precision. Sourced from the Old Van Strasser Vineyard on Diamond Mountain, the site features white volcanic decomposed, an unusual location for white grapes. However, with a creek line running through the property, Nigel Kinsman believes this is prime terroir for white varieties, allowing for a truly distinctive expression of Chenin Blanc.
