L’Aventure's flagship wine is an unconventional blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot that drew Stephan Asseo from France to Paso Robles. The nose is a wall of darkness, packed with black fruit, while swirling in the glass reveals aromas of cinnamon stick and warming spices. The palate is powerful and tannic, layered with notes of black fruit, forest floor and an earthy depth. A remarkably lengthy finish completes this broad-shouldered, assertive wine. A wine built for dishes like steak or oxtail.
