This is a richly textured medium to full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc. The brightness and acid tension reach a crescendo with the 2021 vintage, and it's simply electric, vibrant, lively, and refreshing. I love the intensity of this white and how balanced and expressive it is: lime zest, lime blossoms, fragrant minerality, and almond notes. The wine has a deep salinity, lifted by acacia blossoms and honeysuckle. What a beautiful white. Lail Vineyards is a partnership between fourth-generation vintner Robin Daniel Lail and her daughters, Erin and Shannon. Robin's great-granduncle was Gustave Niebaum, who founded Inglenook in 1879. Her father is John Daniel, Jr., who managed the estate until 1964, when he sold it. Maayan Koschitzky and Philippe Melka craft the Lail wines. Fermented and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
