This red blend is 63% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 14% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot—both new components for this label. Aged for 22 months in 64% new French oak. The wine has truly shape-shifted for the better over recent vintages, now showing far more savoury aromatics and darker-toned fruit. Whereas past releases were distinctly red-fruited, this edition leans into black fruit with blue-fruited nuances, along with graphite and well-integrated toasty cedarwood. Ultra-fine tannins, slightly chalky in texture, carry through to an elegant, polished finish.
