The 40th Anniversary Blend is one of the most complex reds I've tasted from this estate. It's polished, with noble tannins that are firm yet inviting and plump, which creates a solid foundation supporting all this delicious dark berry fruit completely encased in a shell of salted, ultra-dark chocolate notes, all coming from the oak ageing, but refined and nicely integrated, and building to a saline finish with earthy complexity. It's totally delicious. A knock-out.
