The 2022 Madcap Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the certified-organic Knollwood Vineyard in Oak Knoll, crafted by Chris Corley of Monticello Vineyards. Aged for 26 months in 33% new French oak, it is bright and expressive, bursting with succulent cherry and plum, accented by sandalwood and pine forest notes. Medium-bodied, the palate opens with a lovely upfront sweetness of ripe raspberry and cherry, dusted with coriander and framed by cedar-rich tannins that are firm and taut. A spine of crunchy acidity lends balance and tension, keeping the wine vibrant and structured.
