Made from the Biodynamic Maha Estate in West Paso Robles. This blend of Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre boasts an aromatic profile dominated by violets, crushed basalt, and blackberries warmed in the August sun. The palate is robustly structured, with ample tannin that speaks to the longevity of this wine. The sandy tannins support a palate of ripe blue and black fruits and a dash of dried savoury herbs, including clove, fennel and five-star anise. The stony minerality supports this wine's power with its substantial backbone. There is elegance here, posing as a closed fist in a velvet glove.
