Marnet is the project of Dan Ricciato, director of viticulture for renowned consulting winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown. This Pinot Noir hails from the organically farmed Chouette Vineyard, situated just 1.8 miles from the coastal town of Occidental, perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The 2023 vintage exhibits tremendous concentration, featuring blackberry and blood orange fruit that is layered with smoky clove and rose petal nuances. Wonderfully fragrant even on the medium-bodied palate, it features sinewy tannins and a salty mineral tension, finishing with a beautiful potpourri of fragrant wildflowers.
