Aged entirely in American oak, which is nicely integrated and subtly expressive in its classic, attractive nose of blackberry, brandied Morello cherry, graphite, bright herbs and tobacco notes laced with vanilla. Supple and dense with ripe blackberry and black cherry fruits and chewy, dusty tannins. A juicy, full-bodied finish of bitter chocolate notes, caramel, sweet herbs and creamy oak spices supported by a firm acid backbone.
