Lucky Well Vineyard is a high-elevation site in the Russian River Valley planted by the late Ulises Valdez Sr and now farmed by his family. Lime zest, lemon cream, lemongrass, minerals and almond skin aromas then bright, racy acidity on the stony mid-palate. Flavours of lime, apricot and pear notes all bring a weighty dimension and the refreshing finish is punctuated by toasty almond notes thanks to 15 months' ageing in French oak.
