Dark ruby-purple. An immensely and immediately engaging, Port-like dark cassis berry nose. The wine suggests hedonism even before it reaches the mouth. The palate is intensely fruity, rich and compote-like, with milk chocolate and mocha oak layered between ample dark berry fruit content. The tannins are perfectly ripe and spongy in texture, playing a supporting actor role to the main star – the fruit itself, which is abundant, pure, healthy, vital and fully plumped by the high alcohol. Almost dessert-like, this wine is bold and delicious.
