This 100% Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir comes from Corpuel Family Vineyard in the Sebastopol Hills, Sonoma Coast, utilising multiple vine clones (7% whole cluster, 44% Vosne-Romanée, 29% Pommard, and 27% Swan), aged for 11 months in 27% new French oak and 73% neutral French oak. Native yeast fermentation took place in stainless steel, with all the blocks kept separate and then blended a year later. A very bright and juicy wine, with cranberry fruit, blood orange, a dash of white pepper, and a hint of incense on the palate. There are elegant brown Indian and Asian spice notes, and a generosity of tannins that bring good grip, but with a brightness factor that adds a sense of finesse. 260 cases were made.
